Announcing a New Organization Name: Child Focus

Dear Friends and Supporters,

There’s some exciting news happening here that we are thrilled to announce! After lengthy consideration, CASA of Passaic and Union Counties is undergoing a rebranding, and I’m proud to introduce our new name: Child Focus.

The rebranding reflects our commitment to serving the best interests of children in our community with even greater focus, dedication, and clarity. While our name is changing, our mission remains the same: to advocate for the safety, well-being, and permanency of children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Why change? Child Focus better captures both the organization's purpose and the depth of our work. We put children at the forefront of everything we do, and now our name more accurately represents that. As the umbrella organization connecting our three child-focused programs – CASA of Passaic and Union Counties, NJ Safe Babies Court Team, and the Open Door Store – Child Focus enables us to amplify our impact and better serve the most vulnerable members of our community.

While our organization name has changed, our values, programs, and dedication to our mission remain steadfast. As Child Focus, we are committed to continuing our vital work of providing trained volunteer advocates to speak up for the best interests of children in the foster system in both Passaic and Union counties and to provide the highest quality support to the families of infants and toddlers in foster care through the New Jersey Safe Babies Court Team initiative in Passaic, Hudson and Essex counties. We continue to advocate for the best interests of all children through a systems-wide lens.

Of course, feel free to reach out in the coming weeks, whether for an update on our continued work in your community or to discuss partnership opportunities in this exciting new chapter as Child Focus. 

In fact, we’re hosting an Open House on Thursday, April 18, from 5:30-7:30pm at our Wayne office, 415 Hamburg Turnpike, and on Tuesday, April 30, from  12-2pm at our Elizabeth office, 1143 East Jersey Street, 2nd Floor, and I’d love to see you there at one or both events!
