We champion the best interests of children in the child welfare system.

About us

CASA of Passaic and Union Counties is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that champions the best interests of child victims of abuse and/or neglect who become involved in the child welfare and court systems through no fault of their own.

We recruit, screen, train, and supervise volunteer advocates who ensure those vulnerable children are safe and receive needed services while in foster care. Volunteers advocate in court, community and classroom to protect children’s best interests, and commit to serve a child until he or she has a safe, permanent, and loving home. Founded in 2007, Passaic County CASA expanded to also serve the children of Union County as of September 2023. The expanded organization maintains a headquarters office in Wayne, NJ, and a satellite location in Elizabeth, NJ.

CASA of Passaic and Union Counties is a member of the National CASA Association and CASA of NJ.
